Marinar Eudora 5.1.1 E-mail Configuration Instructions

Eudora 5.1.1 is an easy-to-use and capable platform for e-mail that offers a powerful graphical interface without the security risks of other Windows e-mail programs.

Note:  These screenshots are from a PC running WindowsXP. If you're running any other version of Windows, buttons and window borders will appear slightly differently than depicted here. However, this will not affect the accuracy of the instructions presented here; this document is useful for all versions of Windows loaded with Eudora 5.1.1. Users of older versions of Eudora may also find these instructions useful, as the positions of menus and options changed little between versions.

Report discrepancies to Marinar Technical Support.

Eudora is a highly customizable program with many advanced features and options, nearly all of which are well beyond the scope of this document. This page will only serve to set up a basic e-mail account to send and receive mail. More information on Eudora's wide array of capabilities should be sought in the documentation included with Eudora or at The Eudora Website.

Step 1

The first time you launch Eudora, the New Account Wizard will automatically start the setup process. Click Next to continue.

Step 2

You want to Create a brand new email account. Click Next to continue.

Step 3

Enter your real name exactly as you want it to appear on the e-mail that you send. This is where you would use correct punctuation and spelling so as to make it as clear as possible to your recipients who the e-mail is coming from!

Click Next to continue.

Step 4

Enter your e-mail address exactly. This is where replies to your e-mails will go, so be sure to be accurate!

Click Next to continue.

Step 5

For mailbag.net users, the Login Name is the same as the first part of the e-mail address and has already been entered for you by Eudora.

For mwweb.com and advizexweb.com users, the Login Name is the full e-mail address. These users will need to add "@mwweb.com" or "@advizexweb.com" in this step so that Eudora uses the full e-mail address as the Login Name. Otherwise, these users will not be able to check their mail!

When finished, click Next.

Step 6

Enter the Incoming Server name. For mailbag.net customers, the Incoming Server name is mail.mailbag.net.

mwweb.com users should use mail.mwweb.com for the Incoming Server, as advizexweb.com users should use mail.advizexweb.com.

When finished, click Next.

Step 7

The Outgoing Server name is the same as the Incoming Server from Step 6. (This is true for all users)

When finished, click Next.

Step 8

Click Finish to finalize your configuration, or Back to review for accuracy.

Done! You have now configured Eudora 5.1.1 for use with your Marinar e-mail account. You're ready to start sending and receiving messages with Eudora, the preferred e-mail client of Marinar Communications and technocrats everywhere!
