Configuring Netscape Navigator/Communicator for Email

Step 1

Click on the respective Netscape icon. If you have Netscape Navigator, it will look like the one on the left, while Netscape Communicator will have an icon similar in appearance to the one on the right.


Step 2

From the Edit menu in Netscape, click on the Preferences option.


Step 3

  1. From the preferences dialog box, click on the Plus sign next to the Mail & Groups option to expand the menu.
  2. Click on the Identity option to continue.

Step 4

  1. In the Your name field, enter your name.
  2. In the Email address field, enter the email address given to you by Marinar.
  3. In the Organization field, enter the organization you are affiliated with (if applicable).
  4. Click on the Mail Server option to continue.

Step 5

  1. In the Mail server user name area, type in the mail server access name given to you by Marinar. This may or may not be the same as the first part of your email address (the part before the @ sign).
  2. In both the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field and the Incoming mail server field, enter mail.mailbag.net.
  3. In the Mail Server Type area, make sure that the POP3 option is specified.
