Technical Support > Help Screens > WINDOWS 95/98

The Help Screens below will help you configure your Windows 95 or 98 computer to connect to Marinar. These instructions are printer-friendly.

Step 1


From the desktop, click on the My Computer icon.



Step 2

From the My Computer area, double click on the Dial-Up Networking icon.


Step 3

Right click on the Marinar icon, and click on the Properties selection.


Step 4

In the Phone number area, you will need to enter some settings for the phone number. Please call us at 800-618-4427 to get a phone number local to your area.

In the Connect using box, select your modem, and then click on the Server Types tab to continue.


Step 5

  1. For the Type of Dial-Up Server option, make sure that the PPP option is selected.
  2. Under Advanced Options, ensure that Enable software compression is the only box checked.
  3. Under Allowed network protocols, make sure that TCP/IP is the only option selected.
  4. Click on the TCP/IP Settings… button to continue.

Step 6

  1. In the first series of radio-buttons, ensure that the Server assigned IP address option is selected.
  2. In the second series, select the Server assigned server addresses option.
  3. Click OK.

Congratulations! You have just configured your Win95/98 machine to connect to Marinar!
