The Help Screens below will help you configure your Windows NT computer to connect to Marinar. These instructions are printer-friendly.

Step 1


From the desktop, double click on My Computer.




Step 2

From the my computer area, double click on the Dial-Up Networking icon.


Step 3

From the Dial Up-Networking home screen, make sure that the phone number reads the proper phone number.

After the number is inserted, click on the More menu, and select the Edit Phonebook Entry option.


Step 4

  1. The Entry Name field should read Marinar.
  2. Next, check that the Phone Number is correct.
  3. Ensure that a modem is specified in the Dial Using area.
  4. Finally, click on the Server tab at the top to proceed to the next step.

Step 5

  1. In the Dial-Up server type box, make sure that the selection PPP: Windows NT, Windows 95 Plus, Internet is specified.
  2. Ensure that TCP/IP is the ONLY box checked in the Network protocols section.
  3. Check the Enable software compression checkbox.
  4. Click on the TCP/IP Settings button to the right of the TCP/IP checkbox to continue to the next step.

Step 6

  1. In the first radio-button area, make sure that the Server assigned IP address option is selected.
  2. In the second radio-button area, make sure that the Server assigned name server addresses option is selected.
  3. Ensure that the Use IP header compression option is checked.
  4. Endure that the Use default gateway on remote network option is checked.
  5. Click on the OK button, then click on the Script tab at the top to continue.

Step 7

  1. Everything in this dialog box should be left at the default settings. Make sure that you have None specified in the After dialing (login) option box.
  2. Click on the Security tab to continue.

Step 8

  1. Ensure that the Accept any authentication including clear text option is selected. If it is not, you will not be able to login to the Marinar servers.
  2. Click on the X.25 tab to continue.

Step 9

  1. The settings in this box should remain default. Make sure that None is specified in the Network area.
  2. Click OK.

Congratulations, you have now configured your Windows NT computer to connect to Marinar. Happy surfing!
